Today is the last day to vote on Long List 2018 National Television Awards. Once again this year’s categories have a number of nominations for David Tennant’s work.
Most notably, David Tennant and Broadchurch have received several nominations for the final series. The programme that was created and written by Chris Chibnall is nominated for best Crime Drama and in the Drama Performance for both David Tennant and Jodie Whittaker. Whittaker, who will take on role as the Thirteenth Doctor, is also nominated in the Drama Performance Category for Trust Me.
The Drama Performance Category is definitely who’s who of Doctor Who. In addition to David Tennant’s and Jodie Whittaker’s nominations, both Peter Capaldi and Pearl Mackie have received the nod for their work in Doctor Who and Jenna Coleman has been nominated for the second series of ITV’s Victoria.
In other categories, the stunning nature documentary from the talented John Downer Productions, Spy in the Wild (narrated by David Tennant), is nominated for a Factual Entertainment award as is another series that Tennant provided the voiceover. W1A, the hilarious mockumentary about life in the BBC, received nod in the Comedy section
The final short list based on today’s voting will be available in January and the winners will be announced at the ceremony held at the O2 and air on ITV the 23rd January.
