The release date for a new animated film which features David Tennant has been announced. It will be out in cinemas in the US on the 15th December, and in the UK on the 16th.

This heartwarming comedy adventure lead by WWE star/actor John Cena also stars Kate McKinnon (Saturday Night Live), Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin), Anthony Anderson (Departed) along with Tennant’s ‘You, Me and Him’ co-star Sally Phillips. David Tennant voices a character called Angus in the film.

‘Ferdinand’ from 20th Century Fox and Blu Sky Entertainment tells the story of a giant bull with a big heart. After being mistaken for a dangerous beast, he is captured and torn from his home. Determined to return to his family, he rallies a misfit team on the ultimate adventure. Set in Spain, Ferdinand proves you can’t judge a bull by its cover.

The film, directed by Carlos Saldanha (Rio, Ice Age) is inspired by the book “The Story of Ferdinand” by Munro Leaf and Robert Lawson.
