David Tennant Joins The Cast of Disney XD’s DuckTales

It has been revealed today that David Tennant has joined the voice cast of Disney XD’s new DuckTales in the role of Scrooge McDuck.

Tennant is joined by Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz and Bobby Moynihan as the voices of mischief-making Huey, Dewey and Louie, respectively, Beck Bennett as Launchpad McQuack, Toks Olagundoye as Mrs. Beakley, and Kate Micucci as Webby Vanderquack.

It was announced back in February last year that Disney would be bringing back the 1980’s classic tales for a new series.

The series will follow Scrooge McDuck, his curious and mischief-making grandnephews — Huey, Dewey and Louie — and the optimistic yet temperamental Donald Duck as they embark on high-flying adventures worldwide.

DuckTales is produced by Disney Television Animation with Matt Youngberg (Ben 10: Omniverse) as executive producer.

As a great touch, the cast have been introduced in a sing-along of the show’s original theme tune.

Disney XD’s DuckTales is set to premiere in the summer 0f 2017.
