The BBC have confirmed what times Doctor Who and ‘The Highway Rat’ will be airing this Christmas
In unveiling its Christmas schedule, the BBC confirmed that the Highway Rat based on the 2011 children’s book by Julia Donaldson and voiced by David Tennant will air at 4:45 pm on Christmas Day. This animated special sees the ravenous Highway Rat fall foul of his own sweet tooth. Tennant will be joined by Rob Brydon as the Narrator, Nina Sosanya as the Duck and Frances de la Tour as the Rabbit. Just after this beloved tale Doctor Who – Twice Upon a Time will air at 5:30 pm on BBC One.
As well as star Peter Capaldi, ‘Twice Upon a Time’ will also feature David Bradley as the Doctor’s first incarnation. They’ll be joined by Mark Gatiss as an as-yet-unnamed First World War captain and Pearl Mackie returning as Bill. Not to mention Nikki Amuka-Bird as the voice of the Glass Woman and, of course, Jodie Whittaker debuting as the new Doctor.
Also, remember that a run of preview screenings are happening in the northern parts of the UK.
We hope you enjoy this year’s festive events.
