The Spies Of Warsaw is among the programmes to be presented today at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour 2012 later today. The Press Tour has been running at the Hilton in Beverly Hills since 21st July and is an opportunity for TV channels and networks to present their programming for the next six months in front of assembled journalists from America and Canada. Today is the first of three days overseen by the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing, and includes BBC America.
David Tennant is expected to attend the presenting panel for The Spies Of Warsaw today and already both Christina Radish and Steven Weintraub of Collider have tweeted to ask for questions for him. At present it is not certain whether any other cast or production team will join him. Co-star Janet Montgomery has already attended a panel a few days ago when CBS presented her new drama Made In Jersey, but her involvement in today’s presentation obviously depends upon her current workload – the series films in New York.
The Spies Of Warsaw, an adaptation of the novel by Alan Furst, is a co-production between Fresh Films for BBC Four, Polish network TVP, ARTEFrance and BBC America. Shot on location in Poland earlier this year it is thought to be coming to TV screens this October. BBC America, who are already showing glimpses of the series in its New British Drama trailers, will be showing the series in four 45-minute parts; for BBC Four it will be in two 90-minute episodes.
