More guests have been added to Starfury’s Midnight Fan Convention in December – but one sadly has had to pull out.

The Doctor Who and Torchwood-themed convention runs from 14^th – 16^th December 2012 at the Hilton Metropole Hotel, Birmingham. David Tennant and Billie Piper had already been confirmed as the star guests on the Sunday, with Torchwood’s Kai Owen and Gareth David-Lloyd, along with writers Tony Lee and James Swallow. Earlier this week, scriptwriter Phil Ford and writer and former Doctor Who Magazine editor Gary Russell were added to the bill.

Unfortunately, Kai Owen announced yesterday that, due to the date change of the event,  he would now be unable to appear due to a scheduling clash – Kai is appearing in Cinderella at the Regent Theatre in Stoke-on-Trent from 13^th December to 4^th January. However, Starfury announced today that they have booked Kai's on-screen wife, Eve Myles, to appear. Eve stars as Gwen Cooper in Torchwood and Doctor Who, and also appeared in the Doctor Who episode The Unquiet Dead as serving girl Gwyneth.
