As reported earlier, David Tennant took part in the London flagship Sport Relief Mile at The Mall in London. David set off for his event in the 1.15pm race. Moments before the start he told the BBC: “I don’t know how this is going to go”.
Afterwards, the famously unsporty David was rightfully proud of his achievement. Showing off his medal to Alex Jones and Matt Baker he joked “I thought this meant I’d won it but apparently everyone gets one. But I’m very proud, it’s certainly the closest I’m going to get to winning a sporting medal so I’m clinging on to it!”
Of the importance of the massive event in changing lives around the world for the better, David added: “The money that Sport Relief and Comic Relief raise does extraordinary things … you see lives being transformed”
Well done, not only to David but to anyone who took part in a Mile today and raise invaluable funds for the projects that Sport Relief support. You can still donate via the link below.
