How To Break A Dragon's Heart Pic: Hodder Children's Books

There’s a David Tennant audiobook bonanza on the 6th October, with no less than four releases due on that day.

First up are the latest two instalments in the Cressida CowellHow To Train Your Dragon’ series. David has recorded all of the audio versions of the Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III stories that have been released to date.

In  ‘A Hero’s Guide To Deadly Dragons’, Hiccup has a birthday that is a little more adventurous than he had wished for. The book also contains a Dragonese dictionary for those would-be dragon whisperers among us.

In ‘How To Break A Dragon’s Heart’ Hiccup faces dark secrets, a potentially monstrous fate for best friend Fishlegs and the return of Alvin The Treacherous.

The other pair of releases are two compilations of Hans Christian Andersen Fairy Tales. The stories were originally recorded to be downloaded as BBC Learning podcasts in May and June of this year and have now been released on CD. Other actors involved included Sir Derek Jacobi, Penelope Wilton and Anne-Marie Duff.

David Tennant reads the lead story in the volume ‘The Brave Tin Soldier and Other Fairy Tales’, and ‘The Fir Tree’ in the other volume, ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes and Other Fairy Tales’.

All four titles are available to order from general online bookshops or CD retailers.
