Okay this is the big one.

We will have numerous competitions, events and fun things to do to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who. But the big one is this:

Each month there will be one lucky follower that will win a COMPLETE SET of David Tennant as the 10th Doctor on DVDs. Yes the complete set!

That includes:
All episodes in seasons 2, 3 and 4.
All Doctor Who Confidentials
All of the specials – The Next Doctor, Planet of the Dead, Waters of Mars & the End of Time
And as an added bonus: The 2 animation DVDs The Infinite Quest and Dreamland. The DVD of Dreamland includes the complete ‘Doctor Who: Greatest Moments’ as an extra.

Well you knew there would be some caveats.

We are still trying to work out a way to give you the Sarah Jane Adventures episode: The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith. And no you don’t get the Eleventh Hour because Ten’s face appears. And no it doesn’t include the audio CDs, or the books or even his sonic screwdriver.

Hmpf. Stop complaining already!! We thought it was a great contest so don’t depress us. ;)

So how do you enter?

1) EACH month (did you see EACH?) you email [email protected] with the following information:
a. Your Name
b. Your address
c. Your Age – Sorry but you need be over 14
d. Your DVD Format
e. The answer to the skill-testing question.
2) We then pick a name and send you the DVDs. Depending on availability they may be delivered in multiple packages.
3) You are responsible for any customs / duty charges. We doubt there will be any but just in case.

This Month’s skill-testing question is:
What was David Tennant’s First Full Episode as the Tenth Doctor
(We aren’t counting Parting of Ways or the Children In Need event.)

1) Christmas Invasion
2) Duck Patrol
3) Who Do You Think You Are?

BUT DON’T STOP READING YET.

There are ways of doubling, tripling or even quadrupling your chances (No it isn’t email us 3 million times.)

1) Participate in our 50th Anniversary events
2) For instance if we ask what you thought of an episode? Or for a Review? Or entering in a Quiz? They all could POTENTIALLY increase your chances of winning this month’s collection.
3) WATCH OUT when we say one of our events counts towards an extra entry for the Prize (Please note we said extra. You still need the original email to Prizes)

And above all have fun with us as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of our Favourite Television Show – Doctor Who.

I have a quick question, a daft question really, but the email to DT prizes links to Word Outlook(as I noticed), and that’s not configured on my pc, so I have been sending entries from my yahoo mail. Question is, will my entries get through? I was just wondering. Thanks.

I have one quickly, silly question, just to be sure… what do you mean “dvd format”? I mean, what are the format available? Thanks Rosy.

I believe different DVDs are made depending on the region in which you live; for example, I think that the USA/Canada players are designated as Region 2. Players sold in different areas of the world require different region formats for some reason….

Actually, North America is Region 1. Europe is Region 2.

I’m not sure, but here they speak about DVD format and not DVD region code… I mean, I did a google search for dvd format, and I found a list with: DVD, DVD-Video, DVD-ROM, Divx, etc …
DVD region code is a different thing … honestly I did not understand….
