Much Ado About Nothing starring David Tennant, Catherine Tate and Adam James and directed by Josie Rourke has been nominated in the 2012 Mastercard Olivier Awards.
The Wyndham’s Theatre production, which ran from May to September last year, was nominated for the award for Best Revival. Other nominees in the category are Anna Christie at The Donmar, Flare Path at the Theatre Royal Haymarket and Noises Off at the Old Vic – the last of which also includes Much Ado star Jonathan Coy among its cast.
The nominees were announced at the Nominees Lunch held at noon today at the Mayfair Hotel in London. The awards will be presented at the 2012 Winners’ Ceremony at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden on 15th April. There will also be a live stream of events inside the theatre to a special event taking place outside in the Covent Garden Piazza.
There will also be a special live relay of the ceremony to New York’s theatre community.
